Storage and transportation of water treatment reagents
I. Storage environment requirements
Temperature and humidity control: Different drugs have varying sensitivities to temperature and humidity. Most organic products, such as polyacrylamide, should be stored in a cool and dry place at a temperature of 5-35 ° C and humidity below 75% to prevent the concentrate from becoming wet or non degradable. Strong oxidants such as potassium permanganate and sodium hypochlorite are prone to decomposition at high temperatures, so it is necessary to protect oneself from light, store at low temperatures (25 ° C), and avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.
Ventilation and moisture prevention: It is necessary to maintain good ventilation in the storage area to prevent the accumulation of harmful gases during volatile emissions of drugs. For moisture-proof and detoxifying agents (such as polymer aluminum chloride), there must be a high storage pad, the bottom must be covered with a reinforced moisture-proof pad, and the warehouse surface must be waterproof to avoid direct contact of the drug with moisture or soil.
Classified storage: Strictly follow the classification of chemical properties of stored drugs to avoid mutual reactions. For example, acidic agents (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid) and alkaline agents (sodium hydroxide) should be stored separately, with an insulated area in between; Prohibition of mixing oxidants and reducing agents; Flammable reagents (such as certain solvent based organic detergents) should be stored separately in an explosion-proof warehouse, away from power sources.
II. Packaging and Inspection Standards
Selection of packaging materials: Choose appropriate packaging based on the corrosion, volatility, and other characteristics of the drug. Highly corrosive water treatment products (such as concentrated sulfuric acid) require the use of acid resistant plastic drums or steel lined plastic containers; The packaging of liquid agents must be well sealed and equipped with sealing valves; Solid products are packaged in waterproof paper bags or sealed plastic bags, and the outer layer is reinforced with woven bags for protection.
Check the integrity of the packaging: Before storage, carefully inspect the packaging for damage, leakage, or poor sealing, and promptly replace the packaging or repair any defective products. Regularly check the packaging condition during transportation to prevent damage due to bumps and compression.
III Transportation safety management
Vehicle selection: Choose vehicles and containers that meet the requirements for transporting hazardous chemicals to ensure that the vehicles are clean, dry, and residue free. Transport liquid reagents in special tanks equipped with leak prevention devices; Solid state drugs use enclosed trucks to prevent rainwater and moisture.
Fixed and insulated: During transportation, water treatment products are securely fixed to avoid collision and friction with each other. Different types of drugs must be isolated, such as using partition walls, to prevent leakage reactions.
Personnel qualifications and emergency preparedness: Transport personnel should have the qualifications to transport hazardous chemicals, be familiar with drug characteristics and emergency response techniques. Vehicles must be equipped with necessary emergency materials, such as absorbent cotton, neutralizing agents, fire extinguishers, protective equipment, etc. D. And develop emergency plans to ensure timely and effective disposal in the event of leaks, fires, and other accidents.
4 Identification and record management
Clear labels: Clear and visible labels must be affixed to the drug packaging, including the drug name, main ingredients, hazard signs (such as corrosive, toxic, flammable markings), emergency phone numbers, and other information that is easy to identify and handle urgently.
Exit inventory records: Create complete drugs from inventory records, detailing information such as drug name, specifications, quantity, storage time, shelf life, storage location, etc. Strictly follow the principle of "first in, first out", regularly inspect inventory and quality of drugs, and promptly clean up expired or spoiled drugs.
