What are the precautions for the storage and preservation of boiler deaerator?

Improper storage can lead to failure, deterioration, and even safety hazards. The following requirements should be strictly followed for storage:

1、 Storage environment requirements

Cool, dry, and well ventilated

Stored in a dedicated chemical warehouse, the temperature is generally controlled at ≤ 30 ℃, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature exposure.

Keep away from heat sources, heating, steam pipes, and open flames to prevent thermal decomposition, failure, or release of harmful gases.

Moisture proof, waterproof, and rainproof

Deoxidizers are prone to moisture absorption, agglomeration, dissolution, and failure. The warehouse must be dry, rainproof, and leak proof.

The ground should be elevated and moisture-proof to avoid direct contact with the ground.

Store in the dark

partDeoxidizer(such as carbazide and oxime) are prone to decomposition when exposed to light, and should be stored in a dark, cool place, using the original sealed packaging as much as possible.

2、 Packaging and Sealing Management

Use original sealed packaging and strictly prohibit opening at will.

Seal immediately after use to prevent moisture absorption, oxidation, and volatilization failure.

When the packaging is damaged or leaked, the container should be replaced in a timely manner and labeled. It is strictly prohibited to mix it with other materials.

Liquid deoxidizer should be sealed to prevent volatilization and leakage, and use corrosion-resistant containers.

3、 Classified storage, mixed storage is strictly prohibited

It is strictly prohibited to mix with strong oxidants (such as chlorine based disinfectants, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, nitrate, potassium permanganate, etc.) to prevent oxidation-reduction reactions, heat release, and fire.

It is strictly prohibited to mix with acids to avoid the production of toxic gases (SO ₂, amine smoke) during the reaction.

It is strictly prohibited to store food, feed, and daily necessities in the same warehouse to prevent contamination and accidental ingestion.

Store separately from boiler scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, and acid-base agents, and mark them in designated areas.

4、 Safety protection and operation

The warehouse is equipped with corrosion-resistant gloves, goggles, masks, and protective clothing, and manual contact is prohibited.

Avoid inhaling dust and vapor, and avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.

During transportation, handle with care to prevent dropping, collision, and tipping. Rolling the packaging drum is strictly prohibited.

5、 Ledger and Usage Management

Establish an inventory ledger to record product name, specifications, storage time, expiration date, and usage.

Adhere to the first in, first out principle, prioritize the use of earlier batches to prevent long-term storage failure.

Strictly follow the manufacturer's shelf life management, and expired chemicals are prohibited from being put into the boiler system.

6、 Emergency and Fire Protection

The warehouse is equipped with dry sand, dry powder fire extinguishers, and absorbent materials. It is prohibited to directly flush a large amount of powder with water.

Leakage occurs:

Solid: Collect with dry cloth and sand, and do not flush into the sewer at will.

Liquid: after containment, adsorption, neutralization treatment, dispose of according to hazardous waste standards.

Waste chemicals and empty packaging shall be managed as hazardous waste and handed over to qualified units for disposal.

7、 Personnel and management requirements

Managed by trained personnel, unrelated personnel are prohibited from entering the warehouse.

Post hazardous material labels, safety warnings, and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).

Regular inspection: Check whether the packaging is intact, whether there is moisture or clumping, whether there is any odor, leakage, and whether the temperature and humidity are normal.
